▖▚▮▘▖▚▮▘ In recent years, Puebla has earned a spot on the calendars of huge trade shows, attracting both national and international expos. It is not a fluke, Puebla is the complete packagehistoric venues, top-tier services, and time-tested logistics. Here, we will share a few of the most iconic events that have found this city to be the consummate host.

▘▗❚ Expo ANAM

The Asociación Nacional de Abarroteros Mayoristas (National Association of Wholesale Grocers, ANAM) has chosen Puebla for six of its last trade shows, Expo ANAM. In 2024, the event brought together more than 360 exhibitors in Puebla’s Centro Expositor. Overall, Congreso ANAM attracts 7,500 visitors. The conference generated more than 60 billion pesos in transactions, further strengthening its importance in the wholesale market.

▘▗❚ Expo Transporte ANPACT

This event focused on the global heavy commercial vehicle industry was held in the city’s convention center, Centro Expositor, three years ago in 2022. For the three days of the event (from October 5 to the 7), Expo Transporte ANPACT drew more than 50,000 visitors and more than 400 exhibitors, reaffirming Puebla as a key hub of the automotive and transportation industries

It was one of the city’s most important trade shows, and attendees hailed from Mexico and 35 additional countries.

EXINTEX is Mexico and Latin America’s most important textile expo. It is put on by the Cámara de la Industria Textil Puebla/Tlaxcala (Puebla/Tlaxcala Chamber of the Textile Industry, Citex), a trade group committed to helping the sector confront the challenges arising from the reduction of trade barriers. The chamber fosters the industry’s development and growth through a range of initiatives, such as this trade show.

EXINTEX
has found a home in Puebla thanks to the Centro Expositor y de Convenciones’ expansive capacity for stands, conferences, and exhibitions.

The next expo is on the calendar—it will take place March 10-13, 2026, in Centro Expositor.

▘▗❚Congreso Mexicano del Petróleo

A standard-bearer in Mexico’s energy sector, the Congreso Mexicano del Petróleo (Mexican Petroleum Conference) met in Puebla in 2017, harnessing the technical infrastructure at the Centro Expositor and the venue’s proximity to the area’s industrial facilities.

It was organized by the Colegio de Ingenieros Petroleros de México, A.C. (Mexican Petroleum Engineers’ Association, CIPM) and included participation by a variety of associations, such as AIPM, SPE Sección México, AMGP, and AMGE. The expo aimed to promote technical and scientific cooperation in the petroleum exploration and production industry in Mexico and Latin America.

▘▗❚ Congreso Nacional de la Industria de Reuniones (CNIR)

As the flagship event of the MICE sector, the Congreso Nacional de la Industria de Reuniones (National Conference of the Meetings Industry, CNIR) has met in Puebla numerous times. The show occurs in the Centro Expositor and signifies the Consejo Mexicano de la Industria de Reuniones (Mexican Council of the Meeting Industry, COMIR)’s preference for destinations with cultural, hotel, and logistical resources capable of supporting conventions with thousands of attendees.

The 31st meeting of CNIR will be held September 24 to 27, 2025 in the same venue, reaffirming Puebla’s stance as one of the country’s most important destinations for tourism and business.

Expo Latam Congress

Smart City Expo Latam Congress is the launching pad for urban transformation, where significant initiatives come together with the most influential leaders’ experience, turning ideas into projects for urban prosperity and sustainability.

Its 10th meeting was held June 10 to 12, 2025, bringing together more than 10,000 attendees, coming from 300 cities and 200 institutions, ratifying Puebla as a regional driver for urban innovation.

The trade show was in Centro Expositor, spotlighting Puebla as an inclusive city committed to conserving its resources and cultural diversity.

 

▘▗❚ Latino Gastronomic

This international forum specialized in Latin American cuisine involves chefs, producers, and culinary leaders. It was held in Puebla thanks to the support provided by its adaptable venues and rich culinary traditions.

The Congreso Internacional de Gastronomía Latina (International Conference of Latin Gastronomy) will take place September 4 to 6, 2025 in the Auditorio Metropolitano Puebla. It is sure to be an incredible event with the participation of chefs, producers, academics, top brands, and specialized media exploring the latest trends that will define the future of Latin cooking around the world.

Then, Festival de Latino Gastronomic (Latino Gastronomic Festival) will run September 6 and 7 in the same place. It will be a huge tasting party, allowing attendees to enjoy dishes from various restaurants, tour gastronomic pavilions, drop into hospitality spaces with tastings, pairings, and shows. Tickets are all inclusive.
